Prototype - Kilroy (Automatic)

The Kilroy takes its cues from the US mil-spec field watches worn by the Green Berets in Vietnam. This prototype was built before the solar version we released, and it runs on a Miyota 82S0 automatic movement, so it needs no battery. It has the 40mm stainless steel case, flat sapphire crystal and 100m water resistance of the production Kilroy. The high-contrast dial has large numerals and military time on the inner scale, and the screw-down caseback carries the “Kilroy was here” engraving. It comes on a black mil-spec nylon strap.

About prototypes & samples

This watch is a prototype or sample that was designed and built by Redwood but never released to the market. Please read the following before purchasing:

• Final sale. We do not accept exchanges or returns on prototypes and samples.
• Fully functional. All watches are tested and in working order.
• 24-month warranty. The standard Redwood 24-month warranty applies to the watch’s functionality.
• Condition. Prototypes and samples are new but some may have been used for product photography, media reviews or fit testing, so you may find the odd minor mark, which is part of their story.
• Differences from production models. Prototypes may differ from the final production version in details such as dial color, finishing, movement or specifications. The description on this page applies to this specific watch only.
• Limited availability. Each prototype is a single piece. Once it’s sold, it’s gone.
