The Redwood Recon C-46 Commando has become one of my favorite watches, which honestly surprised me since I usually gravitate toward solar or automatic movements over anything battery-powered. The 40mm case strikes a great balance — substantial on the wrist without being bulky. I have the date field version, which I believe has since been discontinued, and honestly the date window is one of my favorite details — small feature, but it adds a ton of everyday utility. Add in the sapphire crystal and solid build quality, and this watch punches way above its price point. Highly recommend if you're into field/pilot watches with real character.
I love my Kilroy solar. It gets the most wrist time of all my affordable watches. It’s easy to swap bands and the tobacco leather nato I got with it has also becme a favorite.
Looks great on my wrist, many compliments. Love the quad pulse and the solid feel of the watch. Lume is good and I've used both the olive green and black leather NATO straps and it changes the look depending on the strap. Sharp looking watch, love that it's Canadian too. Trying to support different Canadian brands and this adds to my collection. While it may be my first Redwood watch, won't be my last. Got my eye on a couple of others. This is a great, casual, everyday watch with a little twist being type B.
My first Kilroy , a Polar white dial , was fancied by my Mil-Spec equipment fan Brother . I was delighted to gift it to him on his Birthday ,this year . But , I found that I missed it's No Nonsence Solar utility . So I ordered another . A black dial this time . The black is far more ledgeble , for me , than the white . Love the size , build quality and the A-17 look . With a black leather stap ( 1/2 off with order : Thank's ) it can go any place for me . Redwood hits it , in my book . I am also sharing wrist time my prevously reviewed Recon C-46 Commando Chronograph . Great stuff , from Good Guy's . Thank's .
Would you guys please stop designing great looking affordable watches? This is my third Redwood and each time I say it's my last! Unbeatable legibility with an understated yet classically retro feel. Excellent lume too. One teeny tiny little niggle - I know all your watches have a 20mm lug. I would prefer a 22 on a 42mm, but that's just me. Also, when you tap the stars, nothing happens, but rest assured this is nothing less than a 5 star review!

My first Redwood was a Pilot A- 13 Stealth. I was so impressed with that watch that I had to buy another Redwood. The Polar Solar is COOL, pun intended, the thing is build like a tank!! Like the first one this did not disappoint!!!! I can't say enough about the quality of your products, keep up the good work! This wasn't my first Redwood and it won't be my last!! When you bring back Kilroy Jungle in Stealth I'm buying.
It was tough to find a watch that checked all the boxes for my new everyday watch:
-Reasonable price
-Quartz movement, since I didn't want to service a cheap automatic watch for probably twice its purchase price (from experience, I know it's only a matter of time, whether you want to believe it or not)
-Solar-powered, so there's no need for battery changes that could compromise the water resistance
-Stainless steel case
-Sapphire crystal
-Easy to swap straps
-Clean, easy-to-read analog dial without excessive decoration, a rotating bezel, or other gimmicks
-Good lume
-Arabic, lumed numerals
-Minimum 100 m of water resistance
-****-down crown and screwed case back
-Maximum 40 mm diameter and a slim profile
This watch meets all of these requirements, and I couldn't find anything else on the market that did. Nearly every brand seems to be focusing on automatic watches, which I wanted to avoid at all costs.
The only minor issue I could think of is that the second hand doesn't line up perfectly with every marker, but that's a known trade-off with almost every quartz watch.
I could not be happier with this watch!
The watch is nicely made, very good Seiko solar movement which is a nice change away from batteries or using a watch winder for automatic watches. Price point I think is spot on for reliability and simple inexpensive daily wear.

I've had this watch for about a month, and so far, I'm really enjoying it. It is very comfortable to wear all day. The lume is excellent. I love the simplicity of the design. I wouldn't hesitate to by this watch again. In fact, I'm looking at other Redwood offerings.
Saw it and fell in love … But it is always tricky when you fall in love with a photograph. Bought it anyway. It arrived in Europe quickly. Too bad I had to pay extra tax, but I knew that - so I was prepared. I am wearing this watch now on and off for a couple of weeks and I love it. It is a watch that tells you the time, what else do you need a watch for? It runs beautifully, it fits really well and if I should mention one thing that I would like? It’s a date mark. But I knew it would not be there, and if I miss it too much I put on one of my Seiko’s. Did not do that very often in the last few weeks. I am a really happy customer. Thank You!
A lovely clean looking watch a good size and fits great on my medium wrist.
If I need another watch Redwood would among the first places I'd look.

I wanted to go back to simple, so I got a Redwood watch and I love it! It's easy to wear, easy to read, and it keeps itself running! It just doesn't get any simpler than that!
This watch is better than I was expecting. Dial is easy to read, Lume is super strong and the size is perfect. I grabbed a drab olive canvas band and it looks stylish but functional. It's my full-time watch and I plan to wear it a long time.
The quality of the watch is outstanding. I am happy I bought the addional black leather band. I am not used to the older "aviator" band that it comes with. Feels a bit bulky but would work as intended. Great job Redwood.
The watch I bought is just what I want, Understated, likeable. Nothing that will jangle a nerve for the next forty years. The only thing I was wondering about was accuracy. In 30 days, it hasn't budged one second. For navigation, this is pure gold.

There is nothing I don't like about this watch. The build quality is great, it looks better in person than in pictures. I like it so much that I've ordered a Kilroy polar solar. I will order more from Redwood in the future, when you come out with a Kilroy Jungle Solar in "Stealth" I will buy that.
Seatbelt straps are strong, comfortable, and stylish. Great for everyday wear or anytime.
I love my tac V3. It is my edc watch and excels at that roll as well as in some harsh conditions. As a night shift worker as well the lume on the watch is perfect as well as it’s not too bright but makes the numbers very clear and easy to read!
